Make a refreshing
The counselling I offer is a intergrative.
Like most counsellors I have training and experience in different modalities.  Orginally trained in Person Centred counselling, I now intergrate this with Solution Focused Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy techniques.

We conduct a free 20/30 minute assessment to ensure you like us and that we can help you. We aim to contract for up to 6 sessions initially - we will however have regular reviews to check if further sessions are needed. However you do not need to pay up front.

Telephone sessions are priced at £28 per session (50 minutes)

Book a session

We are in the process of finalising an online booking system but for now if you'd like to book a session, give me a call or send me a message.

  1. Person Centred Therapy
The counsellor works to understand an individual's experience from their point of view. The counsellor must positively value the client as a person in all aspects of their humanity, while aiming to be open and genuine. This is vital to helping an individual feel accepted and better understand their own feelings - essentially helping them to reconnect with their inner values and sense of self-worth, therefore enabling them to move forward.
  2. Solution Focused Therapy
This counselling is aimed to be brief and goal orientated rather than problem focused. The theory behind the counselling believes change is constant and enevitable and that the clients have resources and strengths to solve problems. Solution Focused Therapy acknowledges distress, but focuses on success. Therapy consists of discussions in which the client is encouraged to find their own solutions.
  3. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
CBT is effective for a number of psychological problems. The therapy is measured by the use of psychological questionnaires and involves a commitment outside of the therapy session. The counsellor helps the client to unlearn their negative thoughts and learned behaviours and learn more useful ones to replace them.
  4. Risk Assessment
Everyone who wants to have counselling with us needs to have an assessment. It takes around 20 minutes and doesn't cost anything. We complete an assessment to check firstly that we have the skills to help you. Secondly we want to check that you are safe and well. We recognise that often this might not be the case but knowing, helps us to help you, and that can't be a bad thing can it?
"I didn't realise that telephone counselling would be like this. It's been so helpful. Thank you. I'm going to miss our sessions."
